Climate Justice

The real solutions to climate change will come from frontline communities resisting untenable fossil fuel development, the work of traditional farmers and fishers who rely on fish and practice soil conservation, the rights of indigenous peoples and remote fishers are at risk and needs alternative way to prevent their livelihoods; SIDI works with partners to support access to clean energy, mini grid solution and bio mass energy to defend their forests, biodiversity and strong resilient communities with diverse economies and networks.


Focus Program/Interventions:

Participatory environmental management and conservation of natural resources, sustainable small scale mines, fish farming, bee keeping, agro forestry, IT and policy advocacy and lobbying on natural resources management and utilization, Micro enterprise development and microfinance practices for social economic growth, and series of the cross cutting issues.
