Healthy Ecosystems and Communities

Local people are the most important stewards of the land, biodiversity, water, and their families’ health. SIDI and its partners works to support  green economies includes fish farming, sustainable small scale gold mines, organic farming and seaweeds in improved ways that supports communities to demand that polluters clean up toxins and waste, revive critical habitats such as coral reefs, and protect watersheds for future generations and poverty reduction. .


Focus Program/Interventions:

Participatory environmental management and conservation of natural resources, sustainable small scale mines, fish farming, bee keeping, agro forestry, IT and policy advocacy and lobbying on natural resources management and utilization, Micro enterprise development and microfinance practices for social economic growth, and series of the cross cutting issues.
